Soft air or person from Isauria
Derived from the Latin 'Isaurus', it originally denoted someone from Isauria, an ancient region in Asia Minor. It is also associated with the Greek word 'aura', meaning soft breeze or air. The name gained some literary recognition through the 19th-century Brazilian novel 'A Escrava Isaura'.
