Watchful or city of the watch
Irah is a variant of the biblical name Ira. In Hebrew, it translates to 'watchful' or 'vigilant', and is also associated with the concept of a 'city of the watch'. While historically masculine, its soft vowel ending has led to modern unisex usage.
