Bright, shining, or from Ilium
Ilina is a name with multiple cultural roots. In Slavic traditions, it is a feminine form of Ilya or Elias, meaning 'the Lord is my God.' In Sanskrit, it is often interpreted as meaning 'bright' or 'shining,' while in some European contexts, it is linked to the ancient city of Troy (Ilium).
