Ianna is a rare variant of Joanna or Gianna, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan. It carries the same spiritual meaning of divine favor and grace. While it shares a phonetic similarity to the mythological name Inanna, it is most commonly used as a modern, stylized diminutive of the John family of names.
