Iana is a feminine variation of Ian or Ivan, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan. It is commonly found in Slavic and Romanian cultures as a graceful alternative to Jana or Joanna. In some contexts, it is also associated with the Roman goddess Diana.
