Derived from the Hebrew name Chaziel, it combines the elements 'chaza', meaning to see or behold, and 'El', referring to God. In biblical tradition, Haziel is mentioned as a member of the Levite tribe. It has recently gained popularity in the US as a softer, more unique alternative to names like Gabriel or Ezekiel.
