Rolling hills or boundary
Derived from the Amharic word for 'rolling hills' or 'boundary', it is also the Ge'ez and Amharic name for Galilee. It carries a strong geographical and spiritual connection to the biblical region in northern Israel. In Ethiopia, it is a well-regarded name that blends natural imagery with religious significance.
