Joyful or rejoicing
Derived from the Latin name Gaudentius, which stems from the verb 'gaudere' meaning to rejoice. It was historically used among early Christians to signify the joy of faith and has been borne by several minor saints. Today, it is most commonly found in Spanish and Portuguese speaking cultures, as well as the Philippines.
