Frenchman or free man
Frisco is a diminutive form of Francisco, which itself is derived from the Late Latin name Franciscus. It historically refers to someone of French origin or, more broadly, a 'free man'. In a modern American context, it is also strongly associated as a nickname for the city of San Francisco.
