Flowering or blooming
Derived from the Latin name Florianus, which comes from 'flos' meaning flower. It was famously borne by a 3rd-century Roman commander and Christian martyr who is now the patron saint of firefighters. While very popular in Germany, Austria, and France, it remains a rare and distinctive choice in the United States.
