Ezrie is a modern feminine diminutive of the Hebrew name Ezra. While Ezra has traditionally been a masculine name meaning 'help' in the Old Testament, Ezrie follows the trend of adding an 'ie' or 'y' suffix to create a softer, more gender-specific version for girls.
