Gracious
Eyon is most commonly understood as a modern phonetic variant of Eian or Ian, which are Scottish Gaelic forms of John. It ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan, meaning 'God is gracious'. In some contexts, it may also be used as a variation of the Welsh name Eion or Eionn.
