Fruitful or productive; steadfast
Derived from the Greek names Eustakhios (meaning 'fruitful') and Eustathios (meaning 'stable' or 'steadfast'). The two names merged in Latin as Eustachius and became popular in medieval Europe due to the legend of Saint Eustace.
