Bright, shining one or bird
Eilee is often considered a modern phonetic variant of Eileen or Aila. As a derivative of Eileen, it traces back to the Greek name Helen, meaning 'bright' or 'shining light'. Alternatively, it may be linked to the Gaelic name Eibhlín, which is sometimes associated with the word for 'bird'.
