Pleasure or rejuvenation
Derived from the Hebrew word for pleasure, Edna is also the name of the mother of Sarah in the apocryphal Book of Tobit. In an Irish context, it is often used as an anglicized form of Eithne, meaning kernel or grain. It was a highly popular name in the early 20th century but has since become a rare vintage choice.
