Stone of help
Derived from the Hebrew word 'eben', meaning stone. It is most commonly associated with the biblical 'Ebenezer', the stone set up by Samuel to commemorate divine assistance. In some contexts, it is also considered a phonetic variant of the Scottish name Evan.
