Follower of Dionysus or child of Zeus
Dyon is a modern variant of Dion, which is a shortened form of Dionysius. It ultimately derives from the Greek name Dionysos, referring to the god of wine, fertility, and revelry. The name is often interpreted as 'of Zeus' or 'follower of the divine.'
