Follower of Dionysus; child of heaven and earth
Dioni is a diminutive form of Dionysius or Dionne, ultimately derived from the Greek name Dionysos. It refers to the Greek god of wine, fertility, and revelry, whose name combines the elements for Zeus and Nysa. In some contexts, it is also linked to Dione, a mother goddess in Greek mythology.
