Dion is a shortened form of Dionysius, the Greek god of wine, fertility, and revelry. It has roots in the Greek elements 'Dios' (of Zeus) and 'Nysa' (the name of a mountain). While it was more common in the mid-20th century, it now feels like a sleek, modern-sounding vintage choice.
