Lady or mistress of the house
Derived from the Ancient Greek word 'despoina', it was historically used as a title for goddesses and queens. In Greek mythology, Despina was the daughter of Demeter and Poseidon. It remains a traditional choice in modern Greece, often associated with the Virgin Mary.
