Dayana is primarily a Spanish and Latin American variant of Diana, rooted in the Roman goddess of the moon and hunting. It can also be interpreted as a variant of the Arabic name Dayyan, meaning 'judge' or 'requiter'. In some contexts, it is associated with the Old English word for a valley.
