Gift of God; or a diminutive of Daria
Dashia is often used as a modern American diminutive of the Russian name Darya, which stems from the Persian name Darius meaning 'possessing goodness'. It is also sometimes interpreted as a variant of Dasia, linked to the Greek name Dorothy, meaning 'gift of God'.
