Branch, bough, or flowering dahlia
In Hebrew, the name refers to a slender branch or bough, often associated with the vine. It is also frequently used as a variation of the flower name Dahlia, which was named for Swedish botanist Anders Dahl. In Arabic contexts, it is sometimes associated with the word for a water wheel or grapevine.
