Charioteer or son of defilement
Derived from the Old Irish elements 'corb' and 'mac'. While 'mac' clearly means 'son', the meaning of 'corb' is debated, often interpreted as 'chariot' or 'defilement'. It is a storied name in Irish mythology and history, most notably borne by the legendary High King Cormac mac Airt.
