Bright, clear, or famous
Clary is primarily a diminutive of Clara or Clarice, derived from the Latin 'clarus'. It also refers to the clary sage plant, which was historically called 'clear-eye' for its medicinal uses. In recent years, it has gained recognition as a standalone name through popular young adult literature.
