Bearer of Christ
A Scandinavian and Germanic variation of Christopher. It is derived from the Greek name Christophoros, composed of the elements Christos (Christ) and pherein (to bear). Historically, it refers to the legend of Saint Christopher, who carried the Christ child across a river.
