Strength or oily seed
In Spanish, it refers to the nutrient-dense Salvia hispanica plant, derived from the Nahuatl word 'chian'. In Chinese, it is often a romanization of names meaning 'excellent' or 'auspicious', while in Italian it can be a diminutive of Lucia or Chiara.
