Gracious
Cheyna is most commonly used as a modern phonetic variant of the name Shana or Shayna, which has roots in Yiddish meaning 'beautiful' and Hebrew meaning 'God is gracious'. It may also be influenced by the name of the Cheyenne people, an Indigenous Great Plains tribe. In recent decades, it has evolved as a unique American coinage with various spelling interpretations.
