Heavenly or a small room
Cella has two primary etymological paths. It is often used as a diminutive of Marcella, meaning 'warlike' or 'dedicated to Mars,' or as a short form of Araceli, meaning 'altar of the sky.' In Latin, the word 'cella' also refers to a small room or chamber, particularly within a temple.
