Cela is often considered a short form of Marcella or Celia, or a variant of Selah. It is frequently associated with the Latin 'caelum' meaning heaven or the Greek 'selene' meaning moon. Its brevity and soft sound give it a modern, minimalist appeal despite its ancient roots.
