Proclaimer of peace
Casmir is an English variant of the Polish name Kazimierz. It is derived from the Slavic elements 'kazic', meaning to destroy or to proclaim, and 'mir', meaning peace. Historically, it was a royal name in Poland, borne by several kings and a patron saint.
