Carrina is a rare variant of Carina, derived from the Latin 'carus' meaning dear or beloved. It is also frequently associated with the Greek name Katherine, carrying the meaning of pure. In astronomy, Carina is the name of a constellation in the southern sky representing the keel of a ship.
