Slender or powerful
Calen is a modern variation of the Gaelic name Caelan, which is derived from the word 'caol' meaning slender. It is also sometimes associated with the Germanic name Kallen, which can mean 'powerful' or 'chatterer'. In contemporary usage, it is often chosen as a softer alternative to Caleb or Colin.
