Braedan is a modern spelling variant of the Irish name Braden. It is derived from the Gaelic word 'bradán', meaning salmon, which in Celtic folklore is often associated with wisdom and knowledge. Alternatively, it can be linked to the English surname meaning 'broad valley'.
