Bodi is primarily a variant of the Sanskrit name Bodhi, referring to the spiritual awakening or enlightenment found in Buddhism. It can also be found as a diminutive of the Hungarian name Boldizsár or as a variation of the Germanic name Bodo, meaning messenger or shelter. In recent years, it has gained popularity in the US as a phonetic, modern spelling of the spiritual concept.
