Lisping or stuttering
Derived from the Roman name Blasius, it originally referred to a physical speech impediment. It gained popularity in the Middle Ages due to Saint Blaise, the patron saint of throat illnesses. In modern times, it is often associated with the French mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal.
