Daughter of the oath
A variant of the Hebrew name Bathsheba, it is derived from 'bat' meaning daughter and 'sheva' meaning oath or seven. In the Hebrew Bible, she was the wife of Uriah the Hittite and later King David, and the mother of King Solomon.
