Bringer of good news
Derived from the Arabic root b-sh-r, Basheer refers to a messenger who delivers glad tidings or joyful news. In Islamic tradition, it is one of the epithets used to describe the Prophet Muhammad. It carries a connotation of optimism and being a herald of positive events.
