Baba is a term of endearment and respect found in many languages across Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. In many cultures, it is used as a title for a wise elder, a spiritual leader, or a paternal figure. While often used as a nickname or title, it is also used as a formal given name in several African and West Asian traditions.
