Mountain of the giants
Aytana is a variant of Aitana, a name derived from the Aitana mountain range in the Alicante province of Spain. The etymology is believed to be from the Latin word 'Edetana', referring to the Edetani, an ancient Iberian tribe, or from an Arabic term meaning 'mountain of the giants'.
