Noble-minded, close friend, or sun
In Sanskrit, Aryaman refers to a deity of hospitality and customs who personifies the noble qualities of a companion. It is derived from the ancient root 'arya', meaning noble or honorable. In Vedic tradition, he is also associated with the sun and the Milky Way.
