Dawn or light

Arora is a variant of Aurora, the Latin word for dawn. In Roman mythology, Aurora was the goddess of the sunrise who renewed herself every morning to fly across the sky. It is also a prominent surname in the Punjabi community of India and Pakistan, often associated with the Khatri caste.
