Eagle power or pledge
Arlett is a variant of Arlette, which has two primary etymological paths. It is often considered a French diminutive of the Germanic name Herleva, meaning 'eagle power', or it may be linked to the name Charlotte. It gained historical prominence through Arlette of Falaise, the mother of William the Conqueror.
