Ariha is the Arabic name for the ancient city of Jericho, often interpreted to mean 'fragrant' or 'scented' from the Semitic root r-w-h. It is also sometimes associated with Sanskrit origins meaning 'destroyer of enemies', though its use as a feminine name is most frequently linked to its Arabic and Middle Eastern heritage.
