Ariahna is a modern elaboration of the Greek name Ariadne. In Greek mythology, Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos who helped Theseus escape the Labyrinth. The name combines the Greek elements 'ari', an intensive prefix, and 'adnos', meaning holy.
