Grace or favor
Annetta is an Italian diminutive of Anna, which ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Hannah. It carries the same meaning of grace or favor but adds a rhythmic, Latin flair common in the late 19th century. While it was moderately popular in the United States during the Victorian era, it has since become a rare and distinctive choice.
