Grace or favor
Ane is a Scandinavian and Basque variant of Anna, which ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Hannah. It is widely used in Denmark, Norway, and the Basque Country as a simple, elegant short form. In some contexts, it is also considered a Hawaiian variation of Anne.
