Rejoicing, or free man
In the Igbo language of Nigeria, Amadi means 'rejoicing'. Separately, it can also be a shortened form of names meaning 'free man' or 'noble'. It is a versatile name used for both boys and girls, though it carries a strong sense of cultural heritage.
