Noble or of noble birth
Alyissa is a modern phonetic spelling variant of Alyssa, which is derived from the flower name Alyssum or as a diminutive of Alice. It ultimately traces back to the Germanic name Adalheidis, meaning noble type. In some contexts, it is also associated with the Greek word 'alysson', referring to a plant believed to cure madness.
