Defender of mankind
Aleksa is a feminine form of Alexander, derived from the Greek name Alexandros. It combines the elements 'alexein', meaning to defend or help, and 'aner', meaning man. While common in Eastern Europe, it remains a rare and sophisticated alternative to Alexa or Alexis in the United States.
